Boys varsity volleyball wins first league match

The Oak Ridge boys varsity volleyball team put a leash on the Sheldon Huskies.

The Trojans won their first league match 3-0 — 25-23, 25-29 and 25-22 — thanks to some superb kills from Tim Spykerman and Jonathan Tuttle, Connor Dunham’s impressive 27 assists and his two aces. Connor Blakeman also contributed nine assists and Nate Lambert racked up 12 digs in the match.

The Trojans next face rival Ponderosa Bruins on March 31. The game starts at 6 p.m.
