Ashley Worden scored on a pass from Erin Krigger as time expired in double overtime to secure a thrilling 2-1 win for the EDUSA Eclipse ’97 Luna over Davis Legacy in the championship match of the Lily Nisen Memorial Tournament Oct. 30 in Davis.

The Luna scored first at the 5-minute mark of the first half when Lydia Molitor finished a brilliant cross from Kylie Goyton. Chris McDaniel made several key saves and the defense held until Davis scored to force overtime on a loose ball after a long free kick with less than 15 seconds left in regulation time. Davis had numerous scoring opportunities in overtime but Gaby Fortino cleared a ball out of bounds just before the winning sequence for the Luna.

The Luna defeated Mt. Diablo Rampage 1-0, Sporting FC Spirit 2-1 and Atletico Santa Rosa 2-0 to advance to the final. Goyton and Lydia Molitor led the way all weekend for the Luna, combining for four goals and three assists.
