Foothill Gold 2001 Comp “A” Girls Fastpitch Softball took second Place in the recent ASA Kick Off Tournament in Lincoln.
The girls battled through seven tough games, starting slow but finishing strong. After going 1-2 on Saturday they rallied to go 3-1 in Sunday’s single elimination games. In the championship game the girls had a 7-5 lead entering the last inning but fell victim to a late rally by the LTG Lions of Elk Grove to lose a heartbreaker.
The girls are coached by Tim Perez, Alan Orchard, Paul Niemiec and John Polson.
