Former Oak Ridge standouts Stanchek and Wolny are leaving their mark in the post season. Washington Huskies Pitcher Kasey Stanchek beat No. 23 Texas Tech on their way to advancing to the Super Regionals. Kasey pitched four innings of no-hit shutout ball to pick up the win while improving to 10-2 on her freshman year. Fellow Trojan alum and Louisville Cardinal Standout, 1st baseman Alicja Wolny also had big weekend. Wolny began her regional going 3-4 with a walk off home run against Valparaiso. She finished the regional batting 6-12 with 2 HR’s and 6RBI’s, but her team failed to advance, losing to the Michigan Wolverines on Sunday. Wolny finished her junior year hitting .377 on the season.
