Sylvie Thompson, 5, won the El Dorado Hills Little League T-ball division’s hit-a-thon during the league’s opening ceremonies in March.

Results were tallied and winners notified last week.

There are a dozen T-ball teams with approximately 10 kids on each, said Sylvie’s mom and Texas Rangers coach Edie Thompson. The Lake Forest kindergartener hit the ball a whopping 150 feet to win.

“I screamed!” Sylvie said about hearing the good news.
