Middle schoolers run final races

Union Mine High School hosted the County Sports League’s final middle school track meet last weekend.

The results are as follows:

Girls

65 hurdles: Girls A — 1-HGR-Elizabeth Vaccaro, 11.42. Girls B — 1-PV-Breanne Gloia, 11.44. Girls C — 1-GHI-Julia Lathrop, 11:47;

Mile: Girls B — 1-MAR-Danny Destefano, 8:39.83. Girls C — NOR-Madisyn Schmitz, 6:17.56;

400: Girls A — 1-HGR-Allison Babbage, 1:07.75. Girls B — 1-MAR-Madelyn Davis, 1:19.56. Girls C — 1-GHI-Sarah Adams, 1:16.69;

High Jump: Girls A — 1-NOR, Katelyn Swatski, 4 feet, 10 inches. Girls C — 1-HGR-Alexis Gautschi, 4 feet, 1 inches;

Long Jump: Girls A — tie for 1st, PV-Katelyn Covitch, SR-Arianna Pizzuti, 13 feet, 4 inches. Girls B — 1-PV-Breanna Gioia, 13 feet, 3 inches. Girls C — 1-HGR-Sarah Holm, 12 feet,  6 inches;

Shot Put: Girls A — 1-CAM-Serena Franz, 33 feet, . Girls B — 1-PV-Breanna Gioia, 31 feet,  3 1/2 inches. Girls C — 1-PV-McKenzie Staggers, 24 feet,  5 1/2 inches.
