FOLSOM — Hundreds of people laced up Aug. 20 for the Fun Run/Walk to benefit the Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth (PARTY) program.
PARTY aims to prevent teen injury while driving. Local Oak Ridge High School alumnus Amjed Aboukhadijeh ran “the just under 6-mile course” in 28:16, winning by 7 minutes and achieving his lifetime best in the process.
Aboukhadijeh currently competes on the UCLA Cross-Country and Track teams.
