Oak Ridge boys lose two in a row

Oak Ridge High School’s boys basketball team broke a 19-game winning streak last week with a pair of devastating losses in Delta River League play.

Wednesday night’s game against Pleasant Grove ended in a narrow 60-65 loss after the Trojans gave up 10 points in the second quarter and never recovered.

Friday’s game against Sheldon was no better for Oak Ridge, who’d just experienced their first loss of the season in a crucial league matchup. The Huskies outscored the Trojans in all but the first quarter of the game, leaving Oak Ridge with a 19-2 record.

The team is back in action this Wednesday night at Jesuit. Varsity plays at 7.
