Oak Ridge boys win Folsom tourney, now 8-0

The Trojans extended from a one-point halftime lead and defeated Del Campo Saturday during the final round of the Folsom Bulldog tournament.

The win was Oak Ridge’s second preseason tournament championship. The Trojans now stand undefeated at 8-0.

Oak Ridge held a slim 29-28 lead after the first two quarters before outscoring Del Campo 16-10 in the third and 14-10 in the fourth. Bryce Scott led Troy with a game-high 17 points followed by a dozen from D.J. Leszczynski and 10 from Will Findlay.

The Trojans defeated Inderkum (80-53) and Center (59-46) high schools in games on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Troy also rocked Vista del Lago last Tuesday night 62-51.

Oak Ridge is back on the hardwood this Thursday through Saturday at the Mesa Verde Varsity Tournament. Freshmen and JV teams will also see action at the Woodcreek Frosh and Cordova JV Tournaments.
