River Cats name area athletes to All-City teams

SACRAMENTO — The Sacramento River Cats’ Triple-A baseball team, an affiliate of the Oakland A’s, named 36 local athletes to its 2011-12 Fall, Winter, Spring All-City teams.

The athletes were honored in a ceremony prior to a River Cats’ game May 13. Those who chose to attend received a ticket to the game  and an All-City patch.

Below is a list of the athletes and their respective sports.

Baseball: Justin Dillon, ED, Zack Mahon, OR; Austin Root, OR; Alec de Watteville, OR; Lance Berringer, OR.

Boys basketball: Bryce Scott, OR; Matt Dolan, CC.

Girls basketball: Jenna Klein, OR.

Boys golf: Corey Pereira, PHS.

Football: Dylan Collie, OR; Sean Tow, UM.

Softball: Natalie Kessing, PHS; Paris Hallums, PHS; Lauren Bertoy, OR.

Girls swimming: Taylor Lehr, PHS.

Boys swimming: Brandon Mills, OR; Garrison Yeandle, OR; Andy Cunningham, PHS.

Boys tennis: Kevin Valentine, PHS; Jimmy Giovannini, OR.

Girls tennis: Tori Trylovich, OR.

Girl track: Ali Ryan, PHS, Sydney Blakeley, PHS; Brittany Anselmo, PHS.

Boys track: Connor Barla, GS

Girls volleyball: Lianna Sybeldon, PHS; Mikayla Tucker, UM; Madison Berridge, UM; Lea Howton, UM; Katie Christner, GS.

Boys volleyball: Griffin O’Camb, PHS; Storm Van Soldt, OR.

Girls water polo: Amanda Jones, OR.

Boys water polo: Garrison Yeandle, OR.
