Nov. 12: The Trojans won their first Division 1 Sac-Joaquin Section championship, beating the favored Davis Blue Devils 51-50. Read the story on VillageLife.com.

Nov. 12: Oak Ridge lost to Jesuit, 4-17, in the semifinal match. The Trojans finish the season with a 25-9 record. Note: The Marauders went on to defeat Davis 6-4 Saturday at Woodcreek High for the section title.

Oak Ridge softball coach Marc Bentovoja is stepping away after 10 seasons guiding the Lady Trojans. During that time, Oak Ridge won four consecutive Division II section titles to tie a section record with Lincoln (D-III) and Bear River (D-IV). Overall, Troy has won eight championships to lead all Sac-Joaquin Section schools. Along the way, Bentovoja coached two of his daughters: Jessica who went on to play four years at Colgate University, and Frankie.
