Trojan sophomore wins at Wildhorse

Oak Ridge sophomore Dylan VanderVeer birdied a playoff hole to win the recent two-day, third annual Wildhorse Junior Open. VanderVeer shot a 75 in the first round and an 80 in the second at the Northern California Junior Golf Tour event.

Eighteen boys, ages 15 to 18, participated, including another El Dorado Hills Player — Kevin Huff, who placed 7th with a score of 76 in the first round and 82 in the second.
