Baseball

Oak Ridge 16, Folsom 3 — In Monday’s Delta River League  at the Trojans’ field, Oak Ridge scored eight times in the bottom of the first inning and had 17 hits en route to victory in a game called after five-innings because of the mercy rule. Bobby Gata (three runs, double), Alec de Watteville (home run, five RBIs) and Mason Watkins had three hits each for Oak Ridge. Austin Root went the distance on the hill for the Trojans, giving up three hits and striking out four.

Oak Ridge 12, Folsom 5 — A six-run first inning set the tone. Trojan Mason Watkins went 2-for-3 with three RBIs; Alex FaGalde 2-for-4 with two RBIs; and Jason Ross doubled for two RBIs. Lance Berringer picked up the win. For Folsom, Jake Brandt was 3-for-4 with a double.

Oak Ridge 11, Folsom 4 — Seven was a lucky number Thursday afternoon for the Trojans at their field, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the third inning to erase the Bulldogs’ 4-1 lead in a Delta River League game. Oak Ridge (8-4, 17-7) banged out 11 hits in the game. Jason Ross was 3-for-3, and Zach Mahon and Cody Uharriet had two hits each for the Trojans. Bobby Gata, Lance Berringer, Cody Morris and Mason Watkins had a hit each for Oak Ridge. One of Morris’ hits was a triple. Alex Fitchett pitching six innings for the Trojans, striking out eight Folsom batters and giving up only three hits. Tommy Hummer tossed the seventh inning, fanning a batter.

Softball

Oak Ridge 3, Pleasant Grove 6 — Renee Bardini went 3-for-3 for the Trojans who committed five errors.

Boys volleyball

Oak Ridge def. Jesuit, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-11

Girls lacrosse
