Trojans’ scoreboard: April 4-9

Baseball
The varsity Trojans put a muzzle on the Folsom Bulldogs on April 4, beating them 21-8. The winning streak continued April 5 when the varsity team took down the Ponderosa Bruins 6-4. The junior varsity team also beat the Bulldogs, 14-9, and the Bruins, 10-3. The Jesuit Marauders defeated the JV Trojans, 8-6. The freshman squad also had big victories against the Folsom Bulldogs, 14-9; the Del Campo Cougars, 10-0, on April 5; and the Ponderosa Bruins, 13-0, on April 7.

Softball
The varsity Lady Trojans fell to the Pleasant Grove Eagles by a score of 3-0 on April 4. The junior varsity team also lost to the Eagles 4-3.

Volleyball
The varsity boys lost their match against Jesuit on April 7: 25-23, 16-25, 20-25 and 22-25.

Girls soccer
The varsity team tied the Pleasant Grove Eagles, 1-1, at the April 4 Conference game. The freshman girls won in their April 4 match against Ponderosa, 4-3.

Boys tennis
Oak Ridge beat Jesuit, 5-4, on April 6. Singles (OR first): Tanner Schmutte def. by Eswaran 3-6, 4-6; Andrew Hall def. Lin 6-2, 6-2; Jimmy Giovannini def. Flam 6-1, 6-2; Alex Charm def. by Moore 7-6, 5-7, 3-6; Nic Atkinson def. by Fretz 4-6, 3-6; Jacob Zetlin def. Hambly 6-1,6-0. Doubles (OR first): Charlie Conaro-Tom Barton def. Peick-Dryer 6-1, 6-2; Jonathan Kim-Matthew Lai def. Houck-Kelly 7-5, 6-2; Matt Fergerson-Scotty Lee def. by Doris-McDonald 7-5, 5-7, 4-6. The team also had a victory against Pleasant Grove on April 4, 7-2. Singles (OR first): Andrew Hall def. by Doty 1-6, 6-7; Alex Charn def, Robarts 2-6, 7-5, 6-2; Nic Atkinson def. Belcher 6-4, 6-4; Jacob Zetlin def. Wagner 3-6, 6-2, 6-3; Jonathan Kim def. Ritchey 6-3, 6-3; Charlie Conaro def. Woodson 6-4, 6-4. Doubles (OR first): Tom Barton-Matthew Lai def. Li-Gorski 3-6, 6-1, 6-4; Matt Fergerson-Scotty Lee def. Johnson-Kankis 6-2, 6-2; Sangsoo Kim-Travis Daly def. by Velasco-Arellanosa 7-5, 2-6, 10-12.

Boys lacrosse
The varsity squad tamed the St. Mary’s Rams, 18-2, at the April 6 Conference game. The junior varsity team also defeated the Rams, 19-3. Oak Ridge’s varsity team went on to defeat Bella Vista, 6-3, on April 8.
