Varsity boys lose match in four

The Oak Ridge boys varsity volleyball team fell to Granite Bay in preseason play Tuesday evening.

The Grizzlies bested the Trojans in four games, taking the first two 16-25 and 19-25 and finishing the fourth 20-25. The Trojans won the third game 25-20.

Players Jonathan Tuttle led the Trojans with 15 kills, followed by Jack Hoisington with nine. On the serving side Tuttle, Hoisington and Nate Lambert had one apiece. Lambert also had an impressive 10 digs and Connor Dunham dominated in assists with 24.

The Trojans next meet Monterey Trail High School at 6 p.m. on Thursday at home.
