Oak Ridge wrestler Vince Waldhauser was just named Wrestler of the Week by Californiawrestler.com.
Waldhauser, who took second at the Walsh Ironman Tournament in Ohio in December and took first at the Doc Buchanan Tournament in Clovis in January, won the Tim Brown Memorial Tournament’s 160-pound bracket in Sacramento this past weekend.
Waldhauser and Union Mine’s Cody Tow, who was the 130-pound division winner at the Tim Brown and won the Big Valley and the Sierra Nevada tournaments, are both ranked second in the state in their respective weight classes.
Both are returning state medalists; Tow hopes to became a four-time state placer this March in Bakersfield.
