Wrestling club members tackle tourney
El Dorado Hills Wrestling Club members had much success on the mat at a tournament this past weekend.
Taylor Chapman and Jack Likins both qualified for Tournament of Champions at the USA Wrestling Tournament at Bret Harte High School.
First-place finishers in weekend events were: Likins (qualified for TOC), Justin Lamson, Kaden West, Anthony Whiting, Scotty Moore, Jackson Ramos (all pins), Kenyon Middleton and Josiah Ramos (two technicals and a pin).
Second-place finishers were: Christian Pebley, Zane Roeder, Ryland Smith, Gabe Guzman, Max McCarver, Jack Santina and Chapman (qualified for TOC)
Third place finishers were: Dylan Fairchild, Devin Wofford, Justin Ramos, William Curtsinger, Brody Deatherage, Chase Manski and Kaden Middleton
Special props go to the newcomers who showed up and battled at the event; Shaiden Carr, Kade Roeder and Zane Roeder competed in their first-ever tournament Sunday.
