Folsom’s Cooper Hunt won the U.S. Kids Golf California State Championships 10-year-old division earlier this summer.

This was the first-ever state championship U.S. Kids Golf hosted. Golfers ages 5 to 14 played 36 holes over two days at the Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore.

In his first round, Cooper shot a 77 and then followed that up with a 71. He beat the second-place finisher by one stroke.
