Senior Zach Youngberg competed very well at the prestigious 46th annual Arcadia Track & Field Invitational in the Los Angeles area on April 6. Athletes from 32 states, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand compete at the Arcadia Invitational.

Youngberg competed in the 110 Meter High Hurdles during the day meet. He turned in a very good time of 15.80 seconds. This is his second fastest electronic time of the year and a great comeback performance since Youngberg had an illness for the last couple of weeks in March that set back his training. Youngberg did not hit a single hurdle at his Arcadia race, and said he’s looks forward to continuing his good racing form in other big races during the second half of the season.

Youngberg was the only Oak Ridge athlete to compete at the Arcadia Invitational.

The Oak Ridge High School track and field teams will compete in a league meet at Ponderosa High School on April 10. The running events and field events start at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, April 13, the Oak Ridge High School track and field teams will compete at the Bella Vista Bronco Invitational at Bella Vista High School. The running events and field events start at 9 a.m. at the Bella Vista Bronco Invitational.
