New laundromat opening in Cameron Park

By From page A8 | June 06, 2017

Cameron Park has been without a laundromat for more than a year, but that’s about to change.

Sierra Laundry, owned by El Dorado Hills residents Greg and Rita Ferrero, is opening a new location in Cameron Park this month in the shopping center at 3000 Green Valley Road.

The facility will offer 18 large capacity washers and 24 large capacity dryers along with free wi-fi and a full-service wash and fold option.

The high-tech washers and dryers are network connected and can be monitored, started, stopped and removed from service remotely by Sierra Laundry. The high-tech dryers also have a reversing feature that prevents big items from getting tangled.

Sierra Laundry’s grand opening will be on the weekend of June 24-25. Customers will be able to wash two free loads of laundry during the grand opening celebration. Going forward, the last Wednesday of each month will be “Wash Wednesdays for a Cause.” On these special days the Ferreros will donate 50 percent of the proceeds to a local school or philanthropy. If you would like to participate in this program contact Rita at (916) 500-3528.
