High school musicians very impressive

By December 27, 2010

EDITOR:

We had a great experience. We went to the senior citizens’ Christmas luncheon at the El Dorado Hills Community Center. The entertainment for this event was provided by musical groups from Oak Ridge High School. This started off with a large choral group (at least 30 members) who sang several songs a cappella. They were followed by the school’s jazz band that played a number of Big Band songs.

In addition to the sheer delight of these performances, there were no visible body piercings or tattoos on any of the performers and no purple or the like hair coloring. It’s hard these days to see a group of high school students without the presence of all sorts of body manipulations that despoil the appearance of God’s greatest creation.

We want to extend our greatest appreciation to those students who respect their bodies and perform great music for everyone’s enjoyment. We also want to thank the faculty, which do a terrific job of directing them in their musical endeavors.
