Spring Fling was great
With more than 200 attending, everyone had a good time. The lunch was delicious and the band was outstanding with many dancers on the dance floor. The prizes were great and won by many happy people. Everyone went home smiling! The party was sponsored by the El Dorado Hills Support Council, EDHCSD and the Senior Nutrition lunch program of Placerville. We especially want to thank the El Dorado Hills Fire Department and staff for always being here and ready to serve lunch. They also stay and help clean up. They do a great job and we appreciate everything they do. Thanks a lot! Two more parties are coming up; read this column for further information. Summer is coming so prepare yourself for the fantastic warm weather that I love!

Lear to Wii bowl
You don’t need a bowling ball, shoes, a bowling alley, or skill of and kind to Wii bowl. Join us as students from Oak Ridge High School show us how to Wii bowl. If you have played before, you can still join us. Wii bowling exercises your brain, gives you team spirit and is lots of fun! This four-week program will be held Wednesdays, June 25 through July 16, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. It’s free and brought to you by Kyoko Lee with assistance from other ORHS volunteers. Call to hold a spot.

Universe of possibilities: A Diary of Cosmic Connection
This multi-media presentation explores our intimate connection to the cosmos. Incorporating astronaut perspectives, elementary astronomy and ancestral history, this unique talk explores our place in space. Our special speaker is Mike Turney, a volunteer docent at the Placerville Community Observatory. This special presentation is scheduled Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. Call to hold a spot.

Senior Nutrition lunches
Delicious and nutritious lunches are served weekdays at noon at the El Dorado Hills Senior Center, 990 Lassen Lane. For seniors 60 and older the suggested donation is $3, all others $5. This is a great place to have lunch, meet new people and visit with friends.
