By August 16, 2011

Bob and Ro Productions are back in Citrus Heights with a brand new play on Aug. 21 and 28.

“I’m Afraid of School” presents the cases of four youngsters about to start school for the first time. It’s a pretty exciting situation if it weren’t for all the terrifying questions they have like, “What if I get the meanest teacher in school?”, “Will I really have to share? With STRANGERS?”, “Is my mom trying to get rid of me?” and “What’s up with math?”

A funny look at the logic of children that will be entertain both young people and anyone who remembers those first days outside of the comfort of home. The cast includes Thomas Purdy (a student at Center High School), Rayme Shannon (a student at Antelope High School), joining veteran local actors Simon Hunt and Sophie Blackburn as they figure out how to deal with this new experience called … school.

Bob and Ro Productions presents “I’m Afraid of School” on Sundays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Aug. 21 and 28. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased at the door, The Citrus Heights Community Clubhouse, 6921 Sylvan Road in Citrus Heights.
