Center celebrates the figure

“Time Vectors” by Steve Memering

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center presents Celebrating the Figure, an art show featuring drawings, paintings and sculpture by the Friday Morning Figure Studio Group, July 25 through Aug. 15.

A Second Saturday reception with refreshments and live guitar music will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 12.

Established in April 1986 by independent art clubs, the Sacramento Fine Arts Center is dedicated to the creation and presentation of the visual arts. The center is entirely self-supporting and operated by volunteers and a small staff. Its operation is made possible by memberships, contributions, sales, show entry fees, art classes and numerous community fundraisers.

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center is located at 5330B Gibbons Drive in Carmichael. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information call (916) 971-3713 or visit sacfinearts.org.
