Kurt Von Tillow of Cameron Park was killed in Sunday’s attack at the Harvest 91 concert in Las Vegas.

He and his wife Mary Jo attended the country musical festival with their daughter and two more relatives. They escaped unharmed but the 55-year-old truck driver died of his injuries, a relative has said.

Nevada resident Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The attack left 59 people dead and injured more than 500. Paddock, who authorities said had nearly two dozen weapons in his room, killed himself as law enforcement approached. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

Village Life will follow up with more information as it becomes available.
