Folsom Lake College welcomes new faculty

Folsom Lake College has added seven new full-time tenure-track faculty members to its growing team for the Fall 2017 semester. Please join us in welcoming:

Danielle Beck (psychology assistant professor) — Beck comes to FLC from Simpson University in Redding, where she was an assistant professor and department chair of Psychology. She has her Ph.D. from University of Washington, Seattle and bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash.

Jill Bradshaw (faculty research coordinator / human services assistant professor) — Bradshaw has worked as a research analyst for FLC’s Office of Institutional Research for the past three years. With a background as a social worker working with people with developmental disabilities, she was also an adjunct faculty and research coordinator for the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. She has her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, M.S.W. from the University of Washington, Seattle, and her B.S.W. from Brigham Young University.

Victoire Chochezi (communication studies assistant professor) — Chochezi has taught communication studies and speech courses as an adjunct professor at American River College, Cosumnes River College and Sierra College. She has her Ed.D. from Drexel University, master’s from Sacramento State and bachelor’s from Delaware State University.

Dominik Green (chemistry assistant professor) — Green previously taught chemistry for both Folsom Lake College and Sacramento City College as well as biochemistry at Sacramento State as an adjunct instructor. He has his Ph.D. and bachelor’s in biochemistry and molecular biology from UC Davis.

Richard Gregory (kinesiology assistant professor / men’s baseball head coach) — Gregory has served as an adjunct instructor and the head baseball coach at FLC since spring 2015. He previously taught high school PE at Gateway Community Charter School and for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. The former Atlanta Braves minor league player has also coached for Vista del Lago High School, CSU Chico and San Jose City College. He has his master’s in education from National University and bachelor’s in physical education from CSU Chico.

Denis Jordan (mathematics assistant professor) — Jordan has been an adjunct mathematics instructor at Folsom Lake College for the past year. For the last 12 years he taught upper level math and coached cross country and track at Capital Christian High School. Jordan has his master’s from Virginia Tech and bachelor’s from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

Amber Longhitano (athletics counselor) — Longhitano has been an adjunct counselor in athletics for American River College and for CalWORKs at Sierra College. She has also taught human/career development courses for ARC since 2012. Longhitano has her master’s in counseling from Sacramento State and bachelor’s in art history from UCLA.
