Grants available to support veterans

By From page A1 | September 13, 2017

Since 2014 a portion of El Dorado County’s Transitory Occupancy Tax funding is allocated to support operations, programs or property improvements for El Dorado County’s veteran population of more than 15,000.

Partnering together, El Dorado County Veteran Affairs Commission and the El Dorado Community Foundation, as the administrator of these funds, award biannual grants to nonprofit organizations supporting our local veteran population.

Grant requests of up to $3,500 from nonprofit entities offering programs and/or services to veterans residing in El Dorado County are now being accepted through an online application process at eldoradocf.org. The deadline for submission is midnight on Sept 30.

Further guidelines and funding requirements are available on the foundation’s website at eldoradocf.org or contact El Dorado Community Foundation Program Officer Lynnee Boyes at (530) 622- 5621 or [email protected] The El Dorado Community Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
