EDH curbs tapped for upgrades

Citing a need to better serve disabled El Dorado County residents and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a formal transition plan to upgrade curbs and curb ramps along county-maintained roadways.

The 20-year plan calls for repair or replacement of 395 curb ramps and 75 new ramps and comes with a nearly $5.67 million price tag. Funding will come from various sources — some yet to be determined.
