Special kitten adoption event Aug. 4

By July 31, 2013

In response to an especially busy kitten season, El Dorado County animal groups are joining together to host a special kitten adoption event for the community.

During the event, all kittens will be available for adoption for half-price (only $40). The event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the El Dorado Humane Society, 777 Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs.

“If you have been thinking of adopting a kitten, now is the time,” said Allison Lozoya, El Dorado County Animal Services Shelter Supervisor. “These kittens are so adorable, and the adoption fee covers the kitten’s shots, spay or neuter, a microchip and vet exam.”

The shelters in El Dorado County have nearly reached critical capacity, and more kittens are arriving every day.

The special kitten adoption event is sponsored by El Dorado County Animal Services, the El Dorado Humane Society and People for Animal Welfare in El Dorado County.  For questions about the adoption event contact Animal Services at (530) 621-7631.
