There’s no place like gnome

A group of traveling gnomes returned home to Eskaton Lodge in Cameron Park on Aug. 24 with tales of adventure for their elderly owners.

Eskaton residents, many of whom are wheelchair-bound and can no longer travel, crafted the gnomes last year. Volunteers then took the gnomes along with them on their travels. From quick trips around town to epic journeys to the other side of the world, volunteers photographed the gnomes and created scrapbooks of their adventures.

A Roseville man rode a Windmill on Folsom Lake to win the 49th Camellia Cup Regatta on Sunday, April 19.
