Devils dunk Otters

The El Dorado Hills Tasmanian Devils and the Folsom Sea Otters battled during record high temperatures June 16 and the Taz seized a 475-314 victory.

Both teams swam hard despite the 104-degree poolside temperature reading.

Madison Grinnell, 15, led the women’s division by scoring 16 points. Both Annie Harriman, 18, and Morgan Jones, 14, came away with 15 points. Other leaders in the women’s division were Catherine Wismar, 10, Maddie Denner, 11, Kacey Ross, 8, and Alena Tadayeski, 6.

In the men’s division, Patrick Sammon, 8, and Nicholas Grinnell, 12, each led with 15 points. Additional outstanding Taz men of the day included Kevin Taylor, 12, Curtis Seaborne, 10, Ethan Mueller, 8, Raghubir Chimni, 10, Cole Tilley, 13, Cameron Bullock, 17, and Joshua Verner, 17.

On Saturday, June 23, the El Dorado Hills Tasmanian Devils visit the Sierra Sharks for the 19th regular season meeting between the clubs. The Taz is looking to take a sixth straight victory in the series.
