The El Dorado Hills Soccer Club hosted a tournament for competitive travel teams last Saturday and Sunday, bringing together approximately 50 teams across four age brackets from communities as far as the Bay Area for its first annual Soccerfest. The last competitive soccer tournament El Dorado Hills hosted was 10 years ago.

“Having a tournament hosted at home, here in El Dorado Hills, is a way to celebrate our community and our players,” said EDHSC President Robb Spitz. “We have incredible fields, and an amazing group of parent volunteers who invest significant time to drive the success of the club. We wanted to share our program with our neighboring communities and beyond.”

Teams of boys and girls ranging in age from U10 to U14 played on fields at Community Park, Valley View and Rolling Hills Middle School. “We are establishing a core for the tourney to build upon in the years ahead,” Spitz added. “With competitive soccer, beautiful fields, camaraderie, smiling faces and a community coming together, we believe Soccerfest was a success.”

The first place winners in each bracket are:
U10 Boys – EL DORADO HILLS SC 08 BOYS GOLD
U11 Boys – ROSEVILLE YSC FIERCE FC
U12 Boys – FOLSOM LAKE EARTHQUAKES PREMIER ’06B
U13 Boys – EL DORADO HILLS SC 05 BOYS GOLD

U10 Girls – EL DORADO HILLS SC 08 GIRLS GOLD
U12 Girls – CENCAL COSMOS 06 GIRLS GREY
U14 Girls – EL DORADO HILLS SC 04 GIRLS GOLD
