EDHSC sets goals on Opening Day

The El Dorado Hills Soccer Club hosted its third annual Opening Day for recreational players Saturday at Community Park, with each team led by a competitive team player.

The parade began at the east field and ended at south field, followed by a brief ceremony. EDHSC President Robb Spitz acknowledged the many volunteers who make the program possible. There are 1,400 players in the rec program from U5 to U19 and, Spitz said, it “continues to grow.”

“Have fun, build relationships and build a love for the game,” Spitz told the crowd.

There were food booths, activities and bounce houses for families to enjoy. Team pictures were also taken and skill clinics were held at no cost.
