JV basketball squad on a roll

Oak Ridge’s junior varsity boys basketball team won its second tournament in a row Saturday, Dec. 28, at McClatchy High School with a 50-37 win over Pleasant Grove. The JV Trojans beat Sacramento JV in the first round, 58-46, and Vacaville JV in the semi-finals, 62-45.
Oak Ridge JV also won the mid-December Don Trolinger Invitational tournament in Vacaville by defeating American Canyon in the finals, 73-50. The team is now 10-1 on the season and plays next in the Trojan Toss-Up at Oak Ridge starting this Thursday.
Troy’s JV squad includes players Conor Jeffery, Sergio Worsham, Nick Alhady, Connor Peterson, Keaton Kisiliewicz, Sean Garmston, Austin Freese, Ryan Hurst, Nick Nygaard, Ben Vargas, coach Eric Schraeder, Armand Souliman, Cole Compton and Brendan Galbreath at coach Rob Slinger.
