By From page A11 | October 04, 2017

SwimLabs Swim Schools, an indoor swim school and training facility, celebrated its official grand opening of its El Dorado Hills location on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The pool will officially open to registered swimmers on Wed., Oct. 4.

SwimLabs’ unique training facilities are indoors, with small, warm-water pools specially designed with 360-degree video feedback technology that lets swimmers of all ages and abilities instantly view their own strokes, correct or enhance their form, adjust their technique and master their skills. Swimmers have the ability to compare their strokes against elite U.S. Olympic swimmers such as Kara Lynn Joyce, Chloe Sutton and U.S. Olympic triathlete medalist Susan Williams.

El Dorado County residents and owners Darin and Kristin Mai are nationally experienced in swim coaching and occupational therapy respectively.

“We wanted to offer something unique to our community where we raise our daughters that combines our passions of swimming and working with children with special needs in a unique environment,” Kristin said.

Darin has experience coaching at both the collegiate and national level. He has worked with swimmers who have become national swimmers, as well as Far Western and Junior Olympic champions. Darin currently coaches Aquasol, competitive swim team and Union Mine High School. He also currently sits on the board for Sierra Nevada Swimming and chairs the Technical Planning Committee.

Kristin is an occupational therapist who has worked with children for more than a decade in the school and clinic settings. She currently works for School Steps Inc. located in the Sacramento area, which provides special education services, staff training and independent educational evaluations to school districts and education entities in the greater Sacramento area.

SwimLabs Swim School is located at 5009 Windplay Drive, Suite 3, in El Dorado Hills. For more information visit swimlabs.com/eldoradohills.
