Thunder rolls over competition

The El Dorado Hills Soccer Club’s U12 Girls Competitive Team Thunder kicked the competition at the CUFA Tahoe soccer tournament, June 23 & 24, brining home the championship trophy.

On Saturday Thunder tied the Folsom Phenoms in a 1-1 match, then went on to beat Southern California’s Burbank Red Machine 01s, 3-1. Sunday started with semi-finals and Thunder secured their place in the championship match by beating the Monterey County Orchard Valley Stingrays, 3-1. Thunder beat the Burbank Red Machine 01s once again 2-0 to claim the championship title. The championship-winning goals were scored by Emily Fagundes and Madison Shepherd.
