Trojan grapplers take second

By December 4, 2012

Oak Ridge varsity wrestlers pinned a second-place finish at the Freedom Duals in Oakley this past weekend.

The Trojans took silver behind James Logan of Union City, with 30 teams entered in the dual meet format tournament.

“This was an exceptional accomplishment considering we were missing three of our varsity starters, eight of our 13 wrestlers were first time varsity wrestlers and we forfeited heavyweights and 113s,” said head coach Casey Rhyan. “The kids have worked very hard over the summer and fall. It definitely showed in our wrestling Saturday.”
